Protect Your Account with Two Factor Authentication

March 23, 2024, 10:22 p.m. New How to Tips

Hey!

You can now use an authenticator app to protect your account with two factor authentication.

With this enabled, you will have to enter in your username and password as well as a one time password that will be generated with an app like Google Authenticator, Apple Safari, Twilio Authy, 1Password, or another authenticator app.

It's so much easier than it used to be and I HIGHLY recommend you use two factor authentication!

To enable two factor authentication... Login to your account -> Click MENU -> Under "Change Password" you'll now see "Two Factor Authentication". Click "Two Factor Authentication" to enable extra security on your account.

I highly recommend this!!!

Nov. 16, 2016, 2:19 p.m. How to New Features Tips

As of November 15, 2016, when you delete an address, it is actually just thrown in your trash can instead of permanently deleted.

From the trash, you can either restore it or permanently delete it.

To restore a deleted address...

  1. Click on "Filters".

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the "Filters" popup and click on "Trash".

  3. Select the addresses you want to restore then click "Restore checked Addresses".

Done!

Alternatively, if you really want to delete the address, you can click "Permanently delete checked Addresses". But don't say we didn't warn you! That will remove them for good!

How to Print Labels at Home

March 30, 2014, 7:12 p.m. How to Tips

We have made the awesome ability to be able to print on your labels right at home, and it is so simple! The ability to do this, was one of the main reasons we made this website. When we were first trying to figure out how other people collected addresses, well that was a nightmare. THEN we tried to figure out how people actually got the addresses onto the envelope..(without handwriting a million of them) and holy cow! Trying to figure that out was even worse.

Sooo, let me walk you through how to print the labels at the peace of your own home* (not that you need it, because it's pretty self-explanatory on the website already)

  1. Sign Up for freeee and create a website (easy peasy)

  2. Edit your website by adding beautiful pictures of yourself, adding a title..and so on..

  3. Either import your CSV file (an excel file works, but it's easier with a CSV) OR share your new URL with your family and friends via Facebook or however.

  4. When you are ready, click "Print Labels" on the lefthand side

  5. Pay a measly $29.99 (sorry, we have to make a living somehow!)

  6. Pick your label size

  7. Pick your font and color

BOOM! Print right at home!

This website does not include a printer, must have one on hand.

How to Invite Other Users to View and Edit Your Address List

March 21, 2014, 11:09 a.m. How to Tips

We added this feature so we could share our address list with our parents. That way they could comb through the names and add anyone that we missed from the old neighborhood.

This is how it's done...

  • Log in to iNeedYourAddress.com
  • Go to Website Settings and Photos.
  • Scroll to the bottom of your Website Settings.
  • Click on "Invite another user to view and edit this address list".
  • Type in their email address then click "Share".

We'll send them an invitation to collaborate on the address list with you and let you know when they accept!

Note: This will give the user the ability to view, add, edit, tag, and organize your addresses but they will not have the ability to make changes to your website settings or photos.
